Tarot Is a System, Not a Memory Test
Tarot is not 78 separate meanings to memorise. The cards work together through numbers, elements, personalities and repeating patterns. After 34 years with Tarot, I’m bringing that knowledge together here - one practical, no-nonsense article at a time.

Tarot Articles & Updates
Here I share practical ways to read Tarot, drawing on 34 years of experience at the reading table. You’ll also find personal updates about my work and what comes next.
Meet Cheryl Kerr — 34 Years of Tarot Experience
I’m Cheryl Kerr. I’ve worked with Tarot for 34 years and read professionally for 15 of them. My website ranked at number one on Google for Tarot readings in Liverpool for more than ten years.
I don’t teach Tarot as 78 separate definitions to memorise. I teach the patterns, relationships and systems that show how the cards behave together - through numbers, elements, ranks, personalities and combinations.
Everything I share comes from decades of real readings for real people. My aim is to help you move beyond reciting individual Tarot card meanings and understand what the whole spread is actually telling you.
Learn Tarot Beyond the Card Meanings
This is the beginning of a growing Tarot learning library. I’ll be sharing practical articles on Tarot card meanings, combinations, Court Cards, the Major and Minor Arcana, numbers, elements and the patterns that connect the whole deck.
No generic definitions and no content churned out for the sake of it — just 34 years of real experience, organised into something you can actually use.
Learn to Read Tarot for Yourself
If you can identify every card on its own but still freeze when several appear together, you are not bad at Tarot. Most teaching gives you definitions without showing you how to connect them.
My approach starts with structure — numbers, elements, ranks and relationships — so you can work out what a spread is saying instead of guessing.
What You'll Learn:
How to connect individual Tarot card meanings into one clear message.
How numbers and elements shape the Minor Arcana.
How the 16 Court Cards think, behave and interact.
How the Major Arcana forms a connected journey — and how Tarot card combinations change the story.
This is where separate meanings become an actual reading.
